As a Supervisor for our Toxicology at the Senneville (QC) location, you will be supervising a team in order to mobilize, empower and develop employees.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Guide, train, supervise, support and maintain a collaborative team in continuous improvement;
  • Ensure and promote positive and effective working relationships in partnership with the management team, human resources and key collaborators.
  • Regularly communicate expectations in terms of quality, performance, goals, animal welfare and health and safety. Provide timely feedback to employees.
  • Ensure optimal performance, productivity and efficiency using key perfomance indicators;
  • Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules;
  • Responsible for recruitment and daily resource planning;
  • Ensure that all the necessary tools to enable employees to perform their daily tasks are available to them;
  • Ensure all employees produce quality work and follow established processes;
  • Review and maintain budgets for all designated areas;
  • Management of various operational challenges;
  • Manage and maintain employee files.

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:  

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good listener and strategic vision
  • Bilingualism French and English is required
  • Collegial diploma is science or any related field in management
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in staff management

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. If you come by car, we also have free parking
