The SAP and Quality Business System Owner (BSO) at the Toronto site will lead continuous improvement efforts to secure the uptime of our site business processes. This includes driving corrective and preventative actions whether through incidents or change controls for S/4Hana (SAP), iRelease, Qualipso as well as dependent applications that impact site uptime. You will serve as a booster leader for new digital projects also impacting site processes. The site BSO is a primary point of contact for global digital projects that impact the site and ensuring the site is informed and manages the change. This role will also oversee all critical site defects, manage associated resources and communicate system enhancement dates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as site Business System Owner (BSO) for SAP and quality systems. Responsible for ensuring SAP business, quality and process compliance is met.
  • He/She cascades global digital change to the iShift Key User Community linked to iShift and quality systems
  • Ensure User Acceptance Tests and regression tests for new releases are conducted and critical master data updates and training/SOP documents are updated
  • Understand digital project scope and plan the activities required for successful site execution via regular site/function feedback and
  • Remove barriers to progress and ensure all site and global stakeholders are aligned
  • Lead cross-functional project teams involving global and site team members to resolve P1 and P2 incidents.
  • Prepare progress schedules and project reports for management, internal teams and others
  • Serve as a conduit of information to all parties
  • Communicate and elevate potential project issues and risks in a timely manner
  • •Plan, organize and evaluate projects from start to finish according to schedule and resources
  • Build and maintain an effective project team to resolve gaps, providing effective alignment and communication with functional groups.
  • Provide input into the strategic direction to the organization ensuring the requirements
  • of new enhancements within iShift and quality systems are adequately factored in. Review and influence the future of operational and quality systems to ensure business process principles are embedded into their evolution
  • Participate as a member of the executive digital team to define and strategize site manufacturing 4.0 roadmap
  • Serve as a people leader providing coaching, training, and development necessary to enhance the competencies, skills, knowledge and expertise of the individuals that report directly.

Education/Certifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in science/engineering or a related field

Experience

  • 5 – 8 years of similar leadership experience in the digital space (digital strategy, design and development, information architecture)

Key technical competencies and soft skills:

  • This position must interact successfully with a fast-paced project team and have a good understanding of project management.
  • Prior working experience with Lean & Six sigma methodologies and tools a strong asset
  • Prior working knowledge of digital factory tools and technologies and data analytics a strong asset
  • Prior project management working experience a strong asset
  • Ability to balance priorities and resources.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality practices and GMPs.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills / tools to resolve issues in a manner that is customer focused; but without compromise to making good quality decisions.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Creative and active problem solver who is approachable, collaborative, outgoing and diplomatic
  • Highly organized and flexible, strong follow through IT literate and skillful Apple user: iPhone, MacBook, iPad and Google Apps
  • Enjoys working as part of and managing the creative team to complete projects Fluent English, French would be appreciated
