The Program Associate, Commercialization will work within the Process Development Operations team to help bring new products to market by working collaboratively with both R&D and Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both scientific research and business, being able to analyze product formats and formulations in order to improve efficiency and reduce waste. This position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to join a rapidly growing team and contribute to a number of big initiatives at STEMCELL.

Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to efficient product commercialization by working to reduce product cost and improve product design during development
  • Identify resource impacts of new products with the relevant designates, including cost analysis and format
  • Interact with cross-departmental team members to ensure projects or activities are progressing, including identifying and reporting roadblocks to ensure resolution in a speed-to-market environment
  • Proactively address operations business needs with creative solutions
  • Collect and analyze relevant information to look for trends in product development and design
  • Work to become a leader in product costing within the organization
  • As required, coordinate a variety of meetings, projects and activities related to technology transfer and product commercialization, including tracking and following up on timelines and deliverables, progress reports, agendas, meeting minutes, action items and database management
  • Ensure documentation is maintained to appropriate quality standards
  • Be a motivated “agent of change” across the organization to help improve and standardize our products, product design, and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc or MSc with minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  • Product development work in biotech/pharma an asset
  • Highly professional and adaptable with proven judgement and discretion
  • Technically savvy, able to quickly learn new systems
  • Clear, articulate, and professional verbal and written reasoning skills to communicate effectively to audiences across the organization
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Experience with data analysis/BI software an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Google and MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems an asset
