About the Position

As the IT Business Partner, G&A you will be responsible for partnering with and understanding the IT needs of the Finance, HR, Legal and other G&A business functions.   You will be the main point of contact for Finance SAP applications suite (S4/Hana, Ariba, Concur, SAC and Fiori), gathering requirements from the business and working with IT leadership to continuously improve an ERP system that meets the needs of the business.   You will also partner with out G&A functions to understand their IT needs, make recommendations and implement solutions.

Work Requirement

This role will be based out of our Vancouver office and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with IT leadership and the G&A business functions to understand their needs and recommend best practices and solutions.
  • Develop application business requirements and systems goals in collaboration with the business functions and IT application specialists.
  • Implement end-to-end application support for Finance and other G&A business units as directed by IT leadership.
  • Support the software development life cycle (SDLC) including process definition and reengineering, high and detailed-level requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design, testing, training, reporting, support, and continuous improvement of business applications.
  • Plan and communicate application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-initiated patches.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills and building and maintaining strong relationships with partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Track contract IT service delivery organizations and SaaS vendors KPIs to ensure IT service is delivered as per service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Demonstrate desired behaviors, such as transparency, accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Champion a culture of shared ownership and constant organizational evolution.
  • Advocate as a champion of change for the organization’s strategic plans.
  • Collaborate as an IT team member to actively mature the IT discipline.

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including in SAP application suite (S4/Hana, Ariba, SAC, Fiori and Concur) required; prior implementation is experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in life sciences or pharma is a plus.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in a business analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in high change, rapidly evolving business environment.
  • Post-Secondary education in relevant, computer-related discipline.
  • Hands on experience delivering IT solutions built on the SAP application suite.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record as an IT business analyst, with developing manager skill set.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, project management, and process transformation.
  • Innovative, analytical, and creative in problem solving and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively at all levels and with diverse stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite (Office, SharePoint)
  • Prior experience with JIRA a plus.

The Canadian base salary range for this full time position is $90,000 – $138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
