CanAm Bioresearch is a well-established pharmaceutical contract research organization located in Winnipeg, MB. We specialize in pre-clinical drug discovery R&D and provide bioanalytical and custom chemical synthesis services.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative communication/digital marketing specialist to boost our online presence to positively impact our network and expand our client base. The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote CanAm Bioresearch and its services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns
  • Design and implement engaging marketing tools
  • Create engaging content across various platform for various marketing materials, including email campaign, social media presence, proposal templates, website landing pages and 1-pager downloads
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize Website and LinkedIn pages for better performance on search engines and social media and increase traffic
  • Conduct research to identify opportunities for company promotion and growth
  • Brainstorm new/creative ideas to improve our communication/marketing strategy
  • Conduct research and report on implementation and optimization of paid advertising campaigns such as Google Ads, or on LinkedIn to capture demand effectively
  • Conduct research and provide insights using tools like Google Analytics to track performance of marketing initiatives and campaigns

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at a Canadian post-secondary education institution (including undergrad, Masters, PhD or post-graduate students), in a STEM, Business and/or Marketing field

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail: writing, proofreading, and editing compelling content across formats
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Website design and Search Engine optimization to improve visibility
  • Creativity: creation of engaging content ideas
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze performance metrics and refine communication strategies
  • Ability to work independently and meet timeline-dependant deliverables
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, MS Teams, email, LinkedIn and other social media platforms and tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics and/or Google Ads would be considered an asset
  • Scientific knowledge would be an asset (organic/medicinal chemistry more especially)
