Shaping workforce solutions for BC’s bio-economy

BioTalent Canada, in partnership with EMC and supported by IEC-BC, is conducting a short survey to better understand skills gaps, credential and training needs and barriers to hiring and retaining talent,  including immigrant talent across the province.

Employers working in BC’s bio-economy have a unique opportunity to shape workforce solutions that address real challenges in the sector. Through this survey, we aim to:

  • Identify critical skills gaps and employer barriers,
  • Uncover best practices for hiring internationally trained professionals,
  • Develop evidence-based tools to support employers,
  • Enhance coordination among collaborators,
  • Strengthen employer capacity and advocate for effective workforce policies.

Why participate

Your insights will directly inform training and certification programs, guide policy recommendations, and support strategies for hiring and retaining talent, including immigrant talent, across the province. By participating, you’ll help build a stronger, more resilient bio-economy workforce for BC. The survey takes about 8 to 10 minutes to complete.
