Definition of occupation
The Research Coordinator supports research teams by facilitating all administrative aspects of research projects. This involves the development and management of timelines and budgets, securing funding, application for research ethics, liaising with external contractors, communicating and reporting performance results to the director, connecting the teams with the right human resources for the project, and ensuring compliance with good clinical practices, standard operating procedures, and regulatory and legal requirements.
The Research Coordinator also prepares and manages strategic and operating plans, budgets and forecasts, general department logistics, and administration. In addition, the Research Coordinator is responsible for the management of contracted research professionals involved in the research, pre-clinical studies, clinical trials and/or field trials, and the oversight of investigator performance to milestones and contract objectives.
