CASTL supports life sciences students and industry growth with financial award program

The Canadian Alliance for Skills and Training in Life Sciences (CASTL) announced today Financial Awards of $5,000 for 32 post-secondary students across Atlantic Canada to support their academic studies in life sciences. This Financial Award program will support life sciences students enrolled in co-operative education from Acadia University, Université de Moncton and the University of Prince Edward Island, who will each receive scholarships in their second and third years.
API: Building Capacity for the Canadian Life Sciences Industry
In Canada, many life science companies and innovators find support to develop their ideas and secure funding locally, but are unable to find support expanding their operations. This requires the company or innovator to move their operations to locations or seek partners outside of Canada. Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API), a not-for-profit institution based in Edmonton, Alberta, is focused on securing support for product development and large-scale manufacturing within Canada, using a network of collaborating organizations.
Canada youth employment program exceeds expectations targeting green economy

BioTalent Canada announced today that its Science and Technology Internship Program (STIP) Green Jobs surpassed its goal of 50 placements since the program began in July 2020. To date, 60 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) graduates have been placed with 38 employers, providing new job opportunities and stimulating economic growth in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
