New Canadian bio-economy report indicates green potential of emerging talent markets

A national labour market report released today highlights labour trends in the expandingly diverse biotech sector that now also includes medical cannabis, digital health and artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. “Green crossovers – Emerging horizons in Canada’s bio-economy,” examines the potential of Canada’s “green-economy” on the biotech sector and highlights the success of BioTalent Canada’s Career Focus Green Jobs and Science Horizons career placement programs and their impacts on the bio-economy, the organization’s first foray into the sustainable development sector.
New Ventures BC and BioTalent Canada announce partnership to maximize BC biotech’s access to top talent

New Ventures BC and BioTalent Canada today announced a new partnership to assist BC biotech companies to access funding to hire post-secondary students for business and tech roles to help drive their objectives forward.
The Innovate BC Innovator Skills Initiative (ISI) grant program was launched by New Ventures BC in June, 2018 and is now accepting applications through March 2020 for BC tech companies hiring post-secondary students in BC. The program is designed to provide skills, work experience, and entrepreneurial training to students, while helping tech companies grow their teams.

Join The City of Toronto and Ryerson/BMZ on April 2nd, from 4PM to 6PM, at the Centre for Urban Innovation, to learn about the importance of having diversity in the health sciences sector.
