For over 40 years, UBC’s co-op programs have provided tens of thousands of students with transformational, educationally enriched, experiential learning opportunities with diverse community partners across Canada and around the world.

Together, we represent the largest co-op program in Western Canada, with students from a wide range of disciplines in the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. The Student Work Placement Program – Healthcare is an initiative to increase the job-readiness of students registered in healthcare programs at Canadian post-secondary institutions. The program’s wage subsidies cover the cost of a student’s salary by 75% up to a maximum of $7,500.

The Science and Technology Internship Program – Green Jobs covers the cost of a new hire’s salary by 75% to a maximum of $22,500/yr and $30,000/yr for youth furthest from employment. These funds help employers hire the talent they need and help youth initiate a career.
