BioTalent Canada helped produce an important labor market report and wanted to back it with maximum distribution for maximum impact. The question was, what was the best way to communicate that innovative data collection reflected an innovative organizational focus?
In partnership with some of Canada’s leading biotech and related associations, BioTalent Canada produced the report and hoped to use it to provide the country, and the world, a snapshot of the needs, opportunities and challenges within emerging areas of Canada’s biotechnology market.

BioTalent Canada and BioNova announced the launch of The PetriDish™ BioNova job board – giving companies in one of Canada’s fastest growing bio-economy hubs a platform to attract highly-skilled talent.
“It is estimated that by 2030 the number of jobs in the life sciences sector in Nova Scotia will grow by 200%,” says Scott Moffitt, Executive Director at BioNova. “Providing a job board specific to life sciences companies in our province will help attract the talent they need to realize this potential for growth.”

Youth facing challenges to employment in biotech get help via new wage subsidy
BioTalent Canada announced a new wage subsidy program to help youth facing challenges to employment gain valuable experience in Canada’s growing bio-economy. The program, known as “Career Starter,” will provide $1.87 million to help youth at risk of disconnecting from the bio-economy workforce, or who represent a demographic facing barriers to employment, such as: Canadians with a disability, Indigenous, visible minority, or a member of the LGBTQ2+ community.
