Participant Perspective
“Because of this programme, I was able to work a lot of my hands-on skills and able to see a lot of the different aspects of engineering that I don’t think I would have gotten if I worked somewhere else”. Says Shivar Chaudhry, Co-op student at Bowhead.
“One of the things I really liked about the Bio Talent Canada programme is that they check in with you, you know, they’re not just like, all right, you get this job. We’re not going to talk to you until you’re done. Every two weeks they check in and be like, hey, how are you doing? What type of work are you doing? They let me interact with the other students they hire as well”.
Employer Perspective
“I think bringing on a BioTalent student in any capacity for a company that’s, especially like ours, that may be growing, I think it’s an excellent way to get that sort of resource, and at the same time, we know that it’s an excellent experience for them, for their futures”. Says Roger McPherson, Vice-President, Engineering of Bowhead.
