Agriculture is a key part of Manitoba’s economy and it is undergoing a rapid digital transformation as new technology is integrated into farm businesses and across the agri-food value chain.
Join Dan Lussier, Director of EMILI’s Canadian Agri-Food Data Initiative, to discuss technology adoption in the agriculture sector and the role that data literacy plays in driving the successful deployment of agtech tools and the use of farm data. EMILI has recently published the first four modules of its Fundamentals of Farm Data program designed to equip farmers with foundational knowledge and data governance skills related to agriculture data. The content in the program is designed to be very accessible and should be useful to anyone interested in agriculture data – agronomists, policy makers, among others.
