Duration: 4-8 months

We are in pursuit of curbing antibiotic resistance, increasing food production efficiencies and overall improvement in the quality of global food supplies.

Our research is dedicated to developing and commercializing novel biotherapeutics to combat food contaminating pathogens. We are seeking a passionate and outgoing scientist to join our growing team of experts committed to making a difference with deep scientific expertise.

Your role:

1. Share our passion for scientific excellence and team-based approaches to fast-paced R&D.
2. Efficiently master new tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues.
3. Broaden your skill set by participating in projects throughout NovoBind’s R&D Pipeline.
4. Carry out assigned lab duties, maintaining lab stocks, solutions, reagents, and supplies.
5. Maintain accurate and timely records of experimental results, data analysis and interpretation.
6. Review and update laboratory procedures as required.

Qualifications:

1. Co-op Undergraduate in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or closely related field.
2. Wet lab experience, preferably from other co-operative education job placements.
3. Must have experience in molecular biology and aseptic techniques.
4. Strong time-management and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to participate on a multifunctional team and assist in other areas as needed.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Must be eligible for these funding opportunities: (a) ECO Canada Co-op, (b) BioTalent SSWP, or (c) similar funding.
