Synaptive Medical is a newly-formed company based in Toronto, Canada, focused on developing medical equipment and applications for neurosurgical procedures. Together, these devices form a full and complete solution of visualization technologies for the operating room. In the past 10 years, the core members of Synaptive Medical have founded and grown multiple successful medical start-ups into international markets. The company is growing rapidly and has a number of opportunities for motivated people to join the team and share in the challenges and rewards of developing technologies to improve patient care and outcomes in neurosurgery.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales in the USA in order to achieve revenue targets and consistent and clear company branding. 

Education & Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of previous sales management experience

  • Experience with capital equipment sales into surgical or medical imaging space

  • Successful track record growing and managing a regional sales organization

  • Experience working in USA, Europe, Asia medical device sales industry, including knowledge of hospitals and private payers

  • Previous experience with a start-up organization, or new division/group within a larger organization, and the ability to excel in a small, entrepreneurial environment

  • Negotiation and executing business objectives

  • Knowledge of competitive landscape

  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and Microsoft office products

  • Ability to interact cross functionally

  • Willingness to travel within North America, 80% at the beginning, and 50% as the company grows.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Establish, manage and grow sales teams.

  • Promote and sell Synaptive Medical products

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with nurses, physicians, materials management and administrative personnel in every account.

  • Direct, train, and coordinate distribution.

  • Deliver product and market feedback to Product Management and assist in developing market positioning strategies

  • Demonstrate seamless teamwork with all functional departments.

  • Own and develop relationships with luminary customers

  • Manage the efforts of the clinical sales support team.

  • Coordination of clinical applications delivery and service delivery with Director of Customer Service and Director of Clinical Applications.

  • Manage expenses and financial objectives within assigned operating budget

  • Other duties as required or assigned

  • Must be a self-starter, with strong communications skills, and be able to work well independently and in a team environment

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Excellent communication skills
