Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, the Content Manager is responsible for optimizing the customer’s experience with content on the website and  ensuring we create content that aligns with our marketing strategy. This includes responsibility for optimizing content architecture and driving traffic to the website through referral traffic, content and Search Engine Marketing.

Education & Qualifications: 
  • Ideally the candidate will have a MSc in the Life Sciences, 5 years of experience in marketing communications and some technical website experience
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work cross departmentally
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and consistently meeting deadlines
  • A great communicator with a high proficiency in the English Language
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Well-versed in the industry and able to communicate effectively with the life science community
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
  • Creative with an ability to conceive new ideas of content organization
  • Ability to read Mandarin is an asset
  • An understanding of research scientists needs or practical lab experience is desirable
  • Understanding of Google Marketing Platform is an asset
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement strategies, initiatives, and projects to drive traffic to the website through referral traffic, content, and search engine marketing
  • Bring perspectives that incorporate leading and emerging best practices including mobile, to meet STEMCELL’s business and customer needs
  • Work with multiple teams to develop web content strategies to ensure optimal user experience and easy access to information
  • Work with multiple teams to optimize customer experience by ensuring content is up to date, engaging, educational, easy to find, and well organized
  • Execute projects to align with the content strategies of the marketing communications department
  • Provide leadership and coaching to cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding across omni-channel programs
  • Stay up-to-date with inbound marketing trends, develop new ideas and tactics, and  continually test and drive innovation
  • Develop KPIs, set benchmarks, and track performance against these standards
