The Drug Development department at Therapure Biopharma Inc. routinely works with multiple internal and external projects and with multiple interested parties at any point in time. The responsibility of the Development Project Coordinator will be to coordinate the resource requirements required to implement internal and/or external projects across multiple functional groups within Drug Development, and with other departments in Therapure, as well as with external organizations and multiple individuals in order to meet project timelines and deliverables. The position requires the development, implementation and maintenance of operational processes and standards that are efficient, automated and consistent across Drug Development. To this end the Project Coordinator will:

  • Ensure that processes in place are maintained to efficiently plan, manage and report on drug development projects,
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of standards to be used by the respective resource managers that are appropriate for the stage of development of each project; monitor and revise as appropriate,
  • Coordinate activities and schedules across multiple projects to ensure that resource needs are identified and adjusted as needed and that the response to project changes are incorporated smoothly,
  • Develop common filing and standardized documentation systems with appropriate controls for sharing data and reporting on progress,
  • Interact with resource managers to ensure that consistent standards and reporting are established and maintained within the department.
Education & Qualifications: 
  • University degree in life sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related field.
  • Pre-clinical expertise and experience in interacting with CROs, vendors and suppliers is an asset.
  • Proficient at MS Excel.
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain up to date operational process and standards in Drug Development.
  • Understand and adhere to project resource requirements, timelines and tasks.
  • Maintain processes that ensure that plans are developed and in place before work commences.
  • Identify and track critical path activities, risks, and develop contingency and alternative plans.
  • Responsible for project coordination activities including project resource allocation, scheduling, cross-functional liaison, project communication and status reporting.
  • Identify resource requirements, ensure ordering is timely and that resources are shared appropriately.
  • Track action items, coordinate team activities and disseminate project information.
  • Maintain a filing and documentation system for all projects and ensure that the system is adhered to.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to prioritize projects and coordinate resources utilization and planning within Therapure.
  • Provide systems for consistent tracking of timelines, and quality of projects by department managers.
