The Product Manager, Business Operations Products will be responsible for managing all aspects of product lifecycle for a portfolio of product lines at STEMCELL. The Product Manager will also be responsible for developing strategic and tactical plans for these product lines. The role involves a high degree of interaction and collaboration across departments, and with customers and external partners.

Education & Qualifications: 
  • PhD in cell biology or related field.  An MBA would also be an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Biotechnology sector
  • Experience building strong working relationships with customers, business partners and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Proven experience in maintaining supplier relationships
  • Well organized with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of corporate finance, margin analysis and project valuation
  • Confident, results-oriented individual
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Manage all aspects of product lifecycle for assigned product lines. Includes but not limited to: set inventory strategy, manage product changes, review revenue, pricing & margin, assess market need and customer satisfaction
  • Manage relationship with business partners for assigned product lines
  • Recommend new products &/or product types to enhance or expand STEMCELL’s offerings within portfolio
  • Provide forecasts for new products and regularly updated forecasts for assigned product lines
  • Recommend margin &/or growth improvement strategies for assigned product lines
  • Support customer service and product scientific support teams with in-depth product knowledge
  • Support sales teams with product training and sales strategy
  • Guide marketing team with target market assessments and value propositions for responsible product lines
  • Assist in the launch of new products by reviewing product information sheets, sales strategies and other materials as required
  • May mentor Program Associate(s)
