Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Employee & HR Services, the HR Operations Associate will be responsible for ensuring our HR Operations processes and programs run seamlessly across STEMCELL’s global organization.

Education & Qualifications: 
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant field, or post-degree HR diploma.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources.
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Workday preferred).
  • Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills (G-Suite experience preferred).
  • Comfortable working independently and with a team.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and obsession with accuracy, while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Clear, concise communicator, both orally and in writing.
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare all HR related paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion including new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, salary increases and confirmation of employment letters.
  • Act as the key liaison between HR and Payroll by providing timely and accurate information on pay-impacting issues, manage communications between teams & ensuring accuracy of payroll-related transactions in the HRIS system (Workday).
  • Assist in the delivery of the orientation program for new hires.
  • Respond in a timely manner to inquiries and requests from managers, employees and HR team members related to HR programs, policies, systems and procedures.
  • Ensure that all data is recorded thoroughly and accurately in HRIS system (Workday) and completes regular audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Support with HR systems testing as needed and assists with general report preparation.
  • Maintain documentation on HR processes, training documents & knowledge articles.  
  • Support HR Business Partners with HRIS transaction training.
  • Support with general employee communications and training initiatives with the HR Business partner team.
  • Review existing people processes and recommend new approaches to create efficiencies and improve data quality.
  • Support the Benefits Administrator with the completion of work and provides guidance and coaching as appropriate.
  • Support with HR related research as requested and contribute to process & policy development.
