Job Description
Summary: 

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Manager Pharmacy Services who demonstrates strong leadership, strategic planning and customer focus skills. The incumbent will report to the Director, Pharmacy Services and will assist the Director in the day to day operations of the pharmacy and management; as well as a significant role will be inter-departmental collaboration on projects with Specialty Services, Consulting and Distribution.

Education & Qualifications: 
  • B.Sc. Pharmacy degree or equivalent;
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Schedule A;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in retail,  healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry;
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Manages the pharmacy operations in ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with pharmacy regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure that the team provides the highest level of pharmaceutical care for patients;
  • Supervise, coach and co-ordinate the activities of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants in the day-to-day operation of Specialty Pharmacy;
  • Actively participate in operational activities to revamp and optimize pharmacy processes;
  • Help to drive operational improvements;
  • Develop relationships with health care providers and patients and build on current relationships;
  • Ensure proper accounting on billing and reconciliation;
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Distribution, Patient Programs, Clinics and Nursing Divisions
Skills & Competencies: 

Position Requirements:           

  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations including experience to oversee operational personnel in the pharmacy;
  • A high degree of accuracy and very high attention to detail is essential;
  • Candidate must have strong communication, customer service, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Strong business acumen and an interest working in an innovative practice;
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;
  • Working knowledge of Kroll;
  • Strong understanding in accounting, billing and accounts receivable;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint);
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
