BioTalent Canada’s BioSkills Recognition Program will be the industry’s seal of approval. It recognizes individuals as BioReadyTM to provide a valuable contribution to the bio-economy workforce.

Canada’s bio-economy is extremely diverse with many existing skills shortages. To help effectively fill these shortages talent needs to be recognized by experts in the industry – you can help.

Being a member of the Competency Committee means:

  • Learn to recognize skills that can directly benefit your organization’s HR needs.
  • Sharing your knowledge and leaving your mark.
  • First access to the best and brightest talent.
  • Being able to create your own BioTalent ePortfolio of your career, free of charge.

What is involved:

  1. Have an approved PetriDish Employer Account. If you receive the BioTalent HR pulse directly you already have a BioTalent Canada Account. Please ensure that your user type is an "Employer". Your Username is your email address and to obtain your password please use the "Forgot password" feature when you are prompted to enter your access information. If you do not have a BioTalent Canada Account it is free and easy to register via the "Create and Account" feature.
  2. Once you have logged into your Employer Account, go to the PetriDish Main Page.
  3. Click on "Become a Member of the Competency Committee". You are required to take an online oreintation of the program. The orientation will guide you through the BioSkills Recognition Program guidelines and recognition process.
  4. Once you have reviewed the online orientation of the program, you may apply to become a member of the Competency Committee.
  5. Once your application has been reviewed and accepted by BioTalent Canada, you will then be sent access information to be able to create your own BioTalent ePortfolio.
  6. You will also be assigned ePortfolio(s) to recognize.
